Dr. Anna Spenceley is an independent consultant on sustainable tourism. She has analysed the impact of COVID-19 on tourism in protected for the EU, PNUMA, UNESCO and the Luc Hoffmann Institute. She has compiled more than 1,200 texts about COVID-19 and sustainable tourism published in a public blog. She has signed the acts “Future of Tourism” and Tourism declares a climate emergency”.
Anna is President of the specialists’ group in tourism of the World Commission for Protected Areas (CMAP) of UICN (TAPAS Group), she is part of the board at the Sustainable Tourism Global Council and is also part of the Independent Consultants Panel of Travalyst. She is the editor of the Edward Elgar’s new "Sustainable Tourism Professionals’ Manual” and co-author of CABI’s "Private sector’s tourism in protected areas in Africa”.
