Tourism advisor in the Venice community
With a bachelor’s degree in law, he has been a municipal councillor in Venice since 2010, working originally on social integration, labour and economic development.
Since 2020, he is responsible of the tourism and residence policy as well as for the reactivation plan for the city and the tourist destination based on sustainability.
To achieve that, he has summoned stakeholders from universities as well as tourism and culture organizations and firms, so as to generate new synergies allowing to raise the quality of the visitors’ experience and the quality of life for residents of the city.
He is president for the territorial agency in charge of the Venetian tourist spots management (OGD), and represents the major of Venice at the Protection and Social Inclusion Network of the Italian Labour Ministry, being a key actor on the update of the anti-human trafficking in the Italian Minister Council and in the drafting of the decalogue of proposals for the relaunching of Florence and Venice as Art Cities.
